Women and Society in Greek and Roman Egypt

Eleven leading scholars have collaborated to present over 300 texts translated from Greek and Egyptian, documenting the lives of women within Egyptian society from its rule by the Macedonian Ptolemaic dynasty to its incorporation into the Roman and Byzantine empires.
