Walking While Black

Weaving together her husband's song lyrics, university papers, poetry, and prose, with the author's own notes, emails, essays, and poems, this once shy, meek, mild-mannered, Caucasian widow recounts her ugly, harsh, unadulterated, PTSD-induced memories to her deceased African-American/Native American husband as, and after, he was brazenly, and brutally tazed and beaten by police in suburban Chicago in 2009.
