Vishnu The Little Boy I Knew from Rags to Riches

Vishnu is the story of a child born into a loving family but left on the street due to unfortunate circumstances. It is also a story of people willing to lend a helping hand to an abandoned child who was determined to get out of domestic help as a servant through self-education and persistent efforts to succeed despite failures. Though this book is fiction, it depicts my experiences growing up in India and witnessing the disparity between rich and poor, upper and lower castes, and the norms deeply ingrained in that society sixty years ago.
