The Weaponizing of Language in the Classroom and Beyond

In this edited volume, the term "language weaponization" is used to describe how language use can directly affect (both positively and negatively) the well-being of individuals and societies. Specifically, it explores how certain language ideologies, practices, and policies can physically, emotionally, socially, and/or economically advantage some individuals (and their cultures and languages), and how they can disadvantage or harm others.
