The first Western in a new series from Rob Maupin! Big Mike O'Donahue has left Texas to find two siblings he has watched over since their family was killed by Comanches. When he finds them in Western Nebraska, they have to run for their lives when they inherit a fortune from wealthy grandparents back east. T hey head to Kansas to get the money, but run into enemies from all sides. Instead of heading to a big town, they go up to the old emigrant trail and try to get lost. Intrigue, violence, and new allies all come their way as they forge the bonds of family as they work to get away from the people who will stop at nothing to kill them and take the money for themselves.
