Produced by the Marquette Univerity Institute of Catechetical Research under the editorship of Edward A. Fitzpatrick in the 1930's, the Highway to Heaven series of Religion textbooks is a breath of fresh air. Unashamed love of the Catholic Faith is evident on every page. Full of beautiful color illustrations, The Life of the Soul is the Third Grade text in the series. It introduces students to the Baltimore Catechism. The teacher's manuals for this series are called The Religion in Life Curriculum and contain not merely an answer key but an entire Religion Curriculum to accompany the textbook.
