The Life of Samuel H. Walker
Best-known for the Walker Colt pistol, Samuel H. Walker served as a volunteer in the Second Seminole War, joined the ill-fated Mier Expedition of 1842, and survived two years of brutal captivity in Mexico. He served as a Texas Ranger before being commissioned in the US Army and died leading a charge against the remnants of Santa Ana's army in 1847.
