The Girl with the Mark of Wauvu

It's been ten months, forty-three weeks, three hundred four days since Maggie's twin sister Mahogany disappeared from their room. And now, her Dad has decided to go look for her sister in some strange-sounding place called Wauvu. But when Maggie's grandmother decides to tell her and her siblings the truth about Mahogany's disappearance, Maggie must confront the one thing she's hated all of her life - the red mark around her eye. She discovers her mark has magical powers and it could be the one thing that can bring her Dad and sister home. Maggie and her siblings must travel to Wauvu to find LaDora, the only person that can teach her everything about her newfound magic. While there, she and her siblings fight off attacks from ferocious vampire mermaids, enormous birds and a gold-infused giant, all trying to prevent her from reaching LaDora. If Maggie doesn't get to her, how will she save her sister and her Dad?
