Art and technology: the perfect recipe for betrayal-and murder. Coroner Fenway Stevenson is driving her boyfriend's moving truck from California to Colorado. She and her friend Piper stop at a museum east of Vegas, only to be shocked at the financial and artistic betrayal of the artists on display in the name of progress. But when the museum's director is found dead next to the moving truck with Piper's knife sticking out of his chest, Piper is the prime suspect. Fenway must use all the tools at her disposal to find the real killer and save her friend. Soon she discovers a betrayed wife, an angry mistress, shady investors, not to mention the hundreds of artists who had their money stolen.
