The Death of Ivan Ilyich

Like many others, Ivan Ilyich never truly considered the possibility of his own death. He knew that it was inevitable and yet after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, he's filled with fear that he's never quite felt before; and asking questions that he's never taken the time to ask such as, "have I ever truly lived?
