As I sit and begin to write these lines I'm reminded of a much earlier time I must have been 8 when I first began To create prose with a pen in my hand Although most times it was done for fun Who'd have guessed one day a writer I'd become So I've laid myself bare, all the triumphs and trials The trauma, the hurt, the frowns, and the smiles Let these words be a beacon and offer insight When you're alone in the darkness and looking for light I'm certainly grateful that you took the time To share my experiences I've put into rhyme The Crystal Rose is a captivating collection of poetry and art.
