The Biochemistry of Faith

All credit for these poems goes to Jesus Christ, Yahweh and the Holy Spirit! Each rough draft was inspired by the Holy Spirit, and poured forth quickly early in the morning on my phone in the last several years. Some are true experiences, some are inspired from reading the Bible and some are embellishments to invoke an experience. I was born 40 years to the day after my father, Ron Powers, in Mount Sinai hospital (story of Moses). I lost my only brother in 2005 (story of Cain and Abel). I had the love story of Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah and Mary Magdalene and Jesus. I won the wrestling match with the older stronger mechanic, Pat Kane, in Bar Harbor (story of Jacob). I've had the visions of Jacob. I obeyed a command and played Russian Roulette with a knife to my heart, plunged my hands inward and won (test of faith of Abraham). I grew up in the city versus country politics of the 90s and the biblical story of Joseph. I work as a dishwasher in Middlebury and live in Castleton, Vermont with my father. I come in the name of the Lord!
