This book is about the emerging building culture in Taiwan. Following the devastating Jiji earthquake of 1999, architectural initiatives in Taiwan developed a focus on the social role of building in the country, including measures to improve urban structures, cultural buildings, infrastructure and housing, and varied community development projects.
