A series of deadly fires has the residents of Boone County, Colorado on edge. One man is dead and several buildings are in ruins. Firefighter Declan Briggs knows it's only a matter of time before someone else dies. When Sheriff Archer discovers the firebug has a specific target-his own family-Declan declares himself protector of the youngest Archer sibling, the beautiful and feisty Maggie.
