Dresses reflect ways of living just as much as buildings and architectures are; reform, modernity, practicality, and regionalism are visualised as much in clothes as they are in architectural forms. Architects and designers of the 20th century have not only written about the relationships between architecture and clothing, but also made their own clothing designs. The contributions in this book, which centre on architecture and fashion but also interior design and film, pursue the interrelationships between architectural design and corresponding conceptions of humanity.
