This book examines the role of legal scholarship in German colonialism and colonial continuities in Germany’s law. The focus is on the period in which the German Empire was a colonial power, the aftermath of colonialism since 1919, and current jurisprudential debates for which colonial dimensions or postcolonial theoretical offerings are relevant.
