In this second volume of bizarre short stories, the themes continue in somber vein. The tales are deliciously dark and beguiling, and evoke a Serlingesque quality while drawing heavily on karmic forces to showcase the principle of compensating values, which tell us miscreants are free to commit their deeds, as long as they answer for them in the end. Hamartia is often revealed in the various protagonists.
