One Girl's Story

This account traces the childhood of an Australian woman whose life was impacted by "The Aboriginal Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act, 1897." Her journey encounters circumstances and events in North Queensland from the 1890s to the 1930s. The story is told by her daughter with the intention of its preservation and so enable present and future generations to know and appreciate this aspect of their diverse heritage.
