In 1931, Hu Shih was turning forty, and began writing his autobiography. In a language simple and plain - the vernacular style he had advocated in 1917 for the New Culture Movement - he remembered his childhood. A bilingual edition in English and French (translated from the Chinese), this book is part of the Luminary Collection.
