Mere Mortals

When a 4th grade schoolteacher and a Marine vet die on the same night, they are brought back and ordered, one by Heaven and one by Hell, to catch a runaway demon or face oblivion. Now, they will need to master the powers of the afterlife, deal with horrifying monsters and murderous cults, and make friends and allies with creatures from another world along the way. Can the teacher and soldier uncover the demon's apocalyptic plans in time? And if so, will the powers granted to them by the afterlife be enough to save the world?
