Magdalena's Picnic

Magdalena's Picnic or El picnic de Magdalena is a bilingual English Spanish picture book that explores the Amazon rain forest through the imagination of a young girl, Magdalena. Magdalena is clearly a role model for young adventurers, both boys and girls, as she explores the Amazon jungle, faces dangers and makes bold choices while leading her friends to their destination. This book is beautifully illustrated and includes a gentle reminder of the importance of conservation directed at young readers.
