Lolita Lorenzo

Lolita Lorenzo is the design brainchild of Carol Muthiga. A Kenyan-American artist and designer, Muthiga is inspired by rich color palettes, vibrant patterns found in the textile markets of her birth country, numerology, naturally occurring geometry, and modern fashion houses like Chanel and Vogue. Her collages often depict versions of what she calls an "intergalactic Afrofuturistic time-traveling woman warrior." Modern-day heroines and Black cultural icons are also prominently featured in her works.
