Judaism & Shintoism - Possible Correlations Between Two Ancient Faiths

A vast amount of what is believed to be known about the ancient world is primarily based upon a very small amount of evidence from which broad, sweeping conclusions, or better yet, guestimations, are made. While many of those assumptions may in fact be correct, there is likely an equal number that is not. How much, therefore, is really accurately known of the distant past? Reach back into early history on a journey of exploration of two old-world faiths, Judaism and Shintoism, and investigate the possible connections these belief systems may have with each other. Will history need to be rewritten?
