Both Passovers occurred on the 14th day of Nissan on the Biblical calendar; first in 2448 BC in Egypt with the freeing of Israel and again in 1865 when General Lee surrendered finally bringing an end to slavery in the United States finalizing the Emancipation Proclamation on Passover of that year.
