Frigate HNLMS Jacob van Heemskerck

The two ships of the Jacob van Heemskerck class of the Royal Netherlands Navy were built as specialized air defence frigates. A development of the Standard type. Paid off after twenty years service transferred to the Chilean Navy and since 2005 / 2006 commissioned units of the Almirante Latorre class.
