Daux Deveraux's life has gone up in flames. Once on her way to becoming a valued member of Spec Ops with a group of newfound friends at her side, Daux has found herself at the mercy of those she used to believe in - and they no longer trust her. With Valentin gone, and her friends and teammates arrested alongside her, Daux has no one to turn to but her anger. When she is released, Daux is broken nearly beyond repair but is offered her life back under the condition that she continues to aid in the search for her father.
