An overview of the current status of "concert studies", which are in the making: Researchers of music and culture, cultural sociologists, economists and practitioners discuss the concert system inter-disciplinarily and question it in regards to its history as well as its current and future development. The topics include the educational system, concert-goers, concert operations, aesthetics of music and acoustics, further development and new development of concert programs and concert formats.
