Lana Said is a lecturer at the Department of Public Law and Governance at Tilburg University and doctoral candidate at Erasmus University. She lectures in public international law, EU law and is involved in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students during their thesis trajectory. She is mainly interested in human rights law, more specifically in the freedom of expression. Her research is focused on academic freedom in times of centralized research planning. Masuma Shahid is a lecturer, researcher and course coordinator in the field of European Union law and the bachelor courses coordinator of the Department of international and European Union Law (Erasmus University Rotterdam). Her PhD research focuses on how various national and international courts approach the topic of equal marriage rights, specifically same-sex marriage. Shahid has published on various topics of EU law and on LGBTQ+ rights in general.
