Bubishi

A well-informed book giving detailed how-to-do descriptions to aid the many technical diagrams of the Keiho Watanabe Bubishi that are reproduced therein. This was one of the earliest martial-arts textbooks on Chinese boxing to arrive on the shores of Okinawa (the 'Island of Karate') and explores the advent and introduction of Chinese boxing there. As a codex for karate and its related kobudo weapon training, the work explains how the fundamentals of Chinese boxing form-and-function are a necessary aid in understanding the foundations of these martial arts.
