Broken Dreams isn't just a book about basketball, It tells the stories of young talented players blessed by the basketball gods with immense gifts whose missteps and poor choices derailed what could have been a long, lucrative and accomplished NBA career. The book provides portraits of the players hopes and aspirations, their home lives, and the difficulties they face in living - namely, the temptations of drugs and alcohol. They had gone through a downward spiral brought on by drugs, alcohol and self-doubt.
