When we were producing yearly Best New African Poets anthologies, we knew we could never achieve perfection, or right representation and balance. They were imperfect. So these anniversary anthologies are our opportunity to create strong scholarship in one area, to take a moment and look back at the journey and reflect on the coming future. This particular anthology only has interviews and reviews of African poets. BEST NEW AFRICAN POETS 10TH ANNIVERSARY: Interviews and Reviews has 52 interviews of poets and 11 reviews from Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Angola, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, and many others.
