A Story of Hope

Genesis 18:12 tells us, "Sarah laughed." Of course she did! God's promise was unbelievable from a human perspective. Isaac was born out of the laughter of disbelief. Have any of God's promises brought you to laughter? The book of 1 Chronicles gives us a perspective on the history of God's people, showing how important it was for God's people to trace their roots and cling to their ancestral ties. Even today there is a universal human need to belong. This book illustrates that the stories we tell today form our future while reflecting our history.
